What is the secondary motor winding?

                Basically an induction motor contains two kinds of winding:

Primary winding.

Secondary winding.

Primary Winding :

                            Primary winding contains number of turns of copper coil less than the secondary winding, Primary winding is called as the starting winding of the induction motor. Because while the starting of an induction motor the primary winding energized and gives some additional torque to the motor to run from rest to motion. So far, it is called as Primary Winding.

Secondary Winding :

                            Secondary Winding  on the other hand has number of turns of copper coils more than the secondary winding. Secondary Winding is responsible for the full running of the induction motor. After primary winding starts the induction motor, the secondary winding take charge of the motor running. The Secondary Motor Winding is responsible for the running of the induction motor.
