Charging a 3S Lithium-ion battery pack
Nowadays we are using many kinds of secondary batteries for our day to day to usage. And we also use many types of secondary batteries like Lead acid batteries(heavy in weight and also not efficient as lithium-ion), Lithium-ion batteries, Lithium- polymer batteries (which is mostly used in almost each and every smartphones we are using nowadays for its efficiency but it is not much as good as in safety because it may explode when it is mechanically damaged or short circuit or over current discharge). Anyway a single cell of a Lithium-ion battery is not so usable for many kinds of applications and also a single cell of Lithium-ion cannot able to supply high voltage and high current. In order to tolerate this we connect the three cells in series for getting an high voltage output and an continuous current supplying support. It is not so simple to connect three cells in series without checking its voltage and its capacity.
Before making a 3S Lithium-ion battery pack:
Things to be considered:
1) Make sure that each and every cell should be in the same capacity.
2) Make sure that each and every cell should be in the same company and same model.
3) Don't make series with Lithium-ion and Lithium-polymer.
4) Connect the cells in series with the same category(that is Lithium-ion and Lithium-ion or Lithium-polymer.and Lithium-polymer. )
After making the 3S Lithium-ion or Lithium-polymer battery pack connect that with a Battery management system (BMS).
How to charge this 3S Lithium-ion Battery pack ?
Eventhough charging a Lithium-ion or Lithium-polymer battery is not also easy.
Things to be considered while charging a Lithium-ion or Lithium-polymer battery pack:
1) Charging voltage should not be greater than 12.8V for a 3S Lithium-ion or Lithium-polymer battery pack.
2) Correct input current must be mandatory for charging a Lithium-ion or Lithium-polymer battery pack.(For example: for a 2000mah battery capacity 2A of current is good enough)

In this module you have to fix the proper current and voltage by tuning the two potentiometer in the charging module with the use of a multimeter. Put your multimeter in voltage reading mode while setting the voltage and put your multimeter in current mode while setting the current. It has three LEDs (red,green, blue). The green color indicates that the battery is fully charged. The red color indicated that the short circuit. The blur color indicates that the battery is charging. This charging module can support upto 5A.
