Godrej fridge five times LED blinking 


Hii, welcome to my blog.. Here we troubleshooted a godrej fridge which is not running and the motherboard in the backside blinks green LED five times.....


After refering to the troubleshooting manual of godrej, it says that five times green LED blinking is the error of IPM (Intelligent Power Module) in the fridge. If we replace the IPM with the new IPM module available in the market, it will work fine.


But in our case, we tried to check the compressor lines U V W, the resistance between any two terminals should show same resistance, but it shown difference values. So, we decided to test the compressor using compressor tester, using that tester the compressor is not running..


Therefore, we finally concluded that IPM or compressor, out of these two any one damaged first, then it reflected to other. for ex : if IPM damaged it may damage the compressor or vice versa.


For compressor fault, the board will blink four times green LED and for compressor fault he board will blink five times green LED. But, if any one of these two error codes blinks, we advice you to check board and the compressor..
