LED burning after charging battery of power bank



                             First of all, these things happens only in the local made power banks and maybe in one of the branded power banks. This happens due to the poor quality of the LEDs manufactured or poor quality of the electronics that drives the LEDs.



                         

                        After the power bank battery is charged, the batteries are at high peak voltage levels which may cause the led to burn due to poor quality of electronics in the power bank circuit. I n my case two of the power banks indicating LEDs blown up after doing a couple of charging and discharging of the power bank.



                    We have to keep in mind that the LEDs used in power banks are only for indicating the battery charge level of the power bank. So, it may blow due to sudden high voltage peaks.





How to avoid this ?


We can avoid this by buying branded power banks which may cost little bit higher than the local made power banks.

But if you ask me, this is not a big issue I simply connect the USB cable into the power bank and charge my smartphone and every accessories.
